PRECIOUS METAL SPARK PLUGS

Please note that NGK Japan have stopped manufacturing some of the lower selling volume "V" type Gold Palladium precious metal spark plugs. These part numbers have been replaced by "VX" type Single Platinum alternatives. "VX" types have a smaller centre electrode 0.8mm compared with the "V" type plugs which are l.Omm. This combined with a tapered ground electrode leads to better ignitability along with improved starting, acceleration and idle stability.

The service life of the "VX" plugs is similar to that of the "V" type.
 
The price class (cost) for the replacement "VX" plugs remains the same as the "V" plug that it replaces apart from BPR9EVX which is a resistor plug replacing a non resistor type.

Note: The more popular volume selling V type plugs will remain unaffected e.S..BCP6EV, B8EV, B1OEGV etc.etc.
