Question:
Dear Bill
I have now managed to get the car through the MOT test. I have in fact
not
done anything to the car and I suspect that when it was tested
originally
it
was not hot enough because the only thing I did to the car was drive it
to
another test station to get a second opinion and in this case it proved
successful and saved a lot of money!
Thanks for your info, it has helped because it meant that I did not
write
off a very expensive piece of equipment without checking it out
further,
I
wonder how many other people are misled by information given by garages
that
possibly do not understand these cats quite enough.
Thanks for your help,
Ian Martin
Answer:
Dear Ian,
Thank you for letting me know how you got on, I am really pleased you've
got
through the test, you are not alone with this problem but you will with
your answer
help many others in the future.
May I suggest you use a fuel additive about every 6 months Slick 50 have
a
very good one (I use it myself) it's called Fuel System Treatment.
It really does make a difference, you will feel it almost straight away,
it
may also
help to clean the Cat, and avoid another problem next year.
Well done, and Thanks.
Regards Bill
