Should I Change the Anti Freeze every year
In short no, however first you need to find out the condition of the Anti Freeze in your car, there are some simple testers available for a couple of pounds or so, they are like the glass dropper used in eye drops bottles, it will have a rubber squeeze ball on the end and in it there are a number of coloured balls, (one type made by Bluecol has only one ball in it) - if you squeeze the rubber ball and suck some of your radiator solution up into the glass file, check how many balls are floating, read off the recommendations on the tube it's supplied in and it will tell you how much Anti Freeze you have in your system.
If it's really dirty or very weak I suggest that you start afresh and change it. We are now majoring on not so much an Anti Freeze more a Coolant treatment, it's a product that contains "Trigard"... the reason we are using, stocking and selling "Coldstream" with Trigard is that we know that it massively reduces the amount of corrosion that plain water or ordinary Anti Freeze mixed with water can cause... it's ready mixed and ready to use... it's safe in your engine for Four years... it's essentially non-toxic and therefor safer for the environment... It's also safer for our pets... I was shocked and amazed that many ordinary Anti Freezes can cause Fits in Dogs and Cats, and in some cases can kill them, (they like to lick it up because it's sweet) - so don't just drain your Radiator into the gutter, you really could seriously harm someone's best friend.. drain it into a container and take it to the local tip where it can be disposed of safely.
Trigard is used in some of the best known Coolants, so look for the Trigard logo (shown on our Home page) before buying your new antifreeze/coolant.
Details on how change your Coolant will be shown soon.
If in any doubt, consult a garage or a specialist centre
