What kind of Oil should I use

For most cars the type of Oil specified in the hand book is the one to use, in saying that I mean the type of Oil not necessarily the make, the specification will be - 10w-40, 20w-50 or say 15w-50, there really is no need to pay through the nose for your Oil, select an Oil Company that you recognise, we use, stock and recommend only the Comma range of Oils. They have been producing Oils for over 40 years and while there are some much cheaper Oils on the market, Comma's range is top Quality and very competitively priced.

We have had great success using their Fully Synthetic Oil called - Syner-G, it's excellent if you drive a vehicle with hydraulic tappets that rattle when cold or very hot, Fully Synthetic Oil keeps it's "Viscosity" or consistency through out the full heat range, and it's only around £20 for 5 Litres.

As a rule, Fully Synthetic Oil is good for all normal petrol engines, for diesel engines a different type of Oil is recommended which is designed to cope with the bashing and the pollution the Diesels are very susceptible to.

If in any doubt, consult a garage or a specialist centre
