Brakes rubbing noise
This can also be caused by a caliper sticking causing the brake pad to foul on the disc, but it can also be caused by a rear wheel cylinder being seized which will cause the shoes on the rear to rub on the drums, however a rubbing noise which appears to come from the brakes could easily be a wheel bearing drying out or a constant velocity joint problem.
A stickiing caliper should be cleaned and freed off, a seized wheel cylinder should be replaced (never change the wheel cylinder rubbers it is to dangerous) and the brake shoes will probably need changing - (our video - The Braking System - shows how to do this safely). If it is a wheel bearing or a C.V. Joint problem they will require either replacement or adjustment or re-packing with grease.
If in any doubt, consult a garage or a specialist centre
